After becoming a homeowner a couple of years ago I've hired and talked to many contractors. They love their craft but hate most other aspects of running their business like quoting, pricing, answering the phone while on site and keeping track of all outstanding projects/jobs/leads. Drillbit uses LLM's to solve all of this. It was a magic demo seeing Alex and Liam demo how they make a quote in seconds from small amount of unstructured information. Congrats on your launch! :)

Today, Drillbit is officially coming out of "Stealth Mode". We have learned a tremendous amount in recent months, and that has culminated in a solution that we are ready to bring to market. What are we? For the home service businesses amongst you: Drillbit eliminates your non-billable hours by handling all of your office work. Our system catches every missed call, manages all of your follow ups, handles quoting, and even takes care of payment collection so that you can focus on the real work. For the investors out there: We are an AI b2b vertical SaaS solution for the home service industry. Put more plainly, Drillbit is the modern take on the FSMs and ERPs that exist today. We leverage AI voice agents as well as our in-house quoting system to automate calls and follow ups involved in managing their deal flow and service offerings. How do we do that? At our core, we do 3 things well: - Our all-in-one productivity platform consolidates your CRM and project management tools creating a unified data layer. - Our AI phone systems act like receptionists. They pick up the phone for you and they can call the homeowner to keep them up to date throughout the life of the job. When they’re done they’ll handle updates to the platform on their own. - Our quoting engine turns those phone calls from job requests into detailed quotes in seconds. It learns from your past pricing to get better every time you use it. Never fill out an estimate again. Why are we doing this? The United States spends $700B / year on home maintenance. A substantial portion of those cost are attributed to simply finding and coordinating work. In order to eliminate waste in our economy, we have to allow skilled workers to spend a greater portion of their day on their craft rather than non value driving work streams. Sounds like a great way to help the industry but also (as a by-product) the customers of the contractors that can wait weeks or months just to get quotes. Love the practical and in-depth application of current LLM-technology to solve an industries problems. This is they way to go to actually get practical about ML/AI and using it to create real value!

Wow, Drillbit sounds like a game-changer for home service businesses! The demo must have been impressive. I love how you’re leveraging AI to handle tedious tasks, letting contractors focus on their craft. Excited to see more updates!
