Did you know that children with special educational needs living in affluent areas are more likely to be in receipt of SEND provision? We are tackling this inequality, by focusing our health mentoring programmes in disadvantaged areas, where children with SEND are less likely to have the support they need.

The Scottish Government's action plan showcases a proactive shift towards a holistic, multi-agency approach to tackle disruptive behavior in schools. By addressing root causes such as poverty and trauma, the plan aims to create a supportive environment for children to thrive. Emphasizing early intervention and a comprehensive strategy, this initiative promises a more inclusive educational setting for all students.
