I first met Hannah at a quarterly Culture Crush Business LLC. (owned by our local fave Kindra Maples) event in Mesa. I had a table there, and she walked up. We started chatting, and she shared that she had just started working for another firm in the Valley as a recruiter and had not done that before. I was struck by how sharp and poised she was. And confident. Especially when you consider she was in such a new field. Her presence stuck with me, and we stayed in touch over the coming months.
I learned that recruiting wasn't her only interest. I learned she enjoyed dabbling in marketing, social media, website design, and project management. I learned that she had a passion for nonprofits, for helping others succeed, and for bringing visions to life. I already knew she enjoyed networking since that was how we met. Then she mentioned HR as a future interest area. Well, I'll tell you, friends, an idea began to form in the back of my mind...
Fast forward another few months, Copper Quail Consulting has taken off, my pants are on fire, Martin is cutting back his hours for school, and I find myself at a turning point - start turning down work and keep playing small OR hire some help and soar!
So what did I do? I reached out to the person I thought would complement my gaps, learn to read my mind, and help take the company next level.
