Published in the Journal of Integrative Neuroscience, this study shows that targeting ferroptosis-related pathways can help reduce seizures and cognitive impairment, offering a promising new approach for epilepsy treatment. The research highlights the role of the GPX4/GSH redox pathway and iron metabolism in epilepsy, suggesting that inhibiting ferroptosis could protect against seizure-induced brain damage and improve patient outcomes. https://lnkd.in/gdT5xGKf #neuroscience #Science
