Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, and while it's never easy, it’s in those moments that we grow the most. Earlier this year, I was laid off from Bowery Farming, where I worked as a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer. While the news was tough, I’ve taken this time to reflect on my journey and look forward to the next exciting opportunity. My story is one of perseverance and resilience. In 2012, I arrived in the United States as a refugee from Iraq at the age of 21. Starting over wasn’t easy—my engineering degree didn’t transfer, so I went back to school while working customer service jobs to support myself. In 2017, I officially began my engineering career, and this July, I achieved a milestone I’ll always cherish: becoming a U.S. citizen ????. Professionally, I’ve built a strong foundation in packaging and industrial engineering. At Tesla, I honed my skills in process optimization and problem-solving in high-pressure environments. During my time Mana Products, a leading contract manufacturer for cosmetics and skincare, I collaborated with brands to design, develop, and launch innovative products. From process optimization to packaging development, I’ve always thrived at the intersection of creativity and efficiency. Now, I’m actively seeking engineering roles in #NewYorkCity where I can leverage my skills to make an impact. I’m particularly interested in positions focused on #packaging_engineering, #industrial_engineering, or #manufacturing_processes. Why the ?? ?? ?? Creative Generalist is the most important role in shaping the future. ?? We have entered an era where the lines between human / artificial, true / false, reality / unreality are blurred. ?? The rate of technological, geopolitical, socio-cultural change is radically accelerating. ?? As such, a job "role" or "description" makes no sense.
