This week, Secretary Rubio was delighted to welcome 104 emerging leaders from the U.S. Senate Youth Program to the State Department. For more than 60 years, this program has brought our nation's top high school scholars to Washington to explore paths to public service. Their presence in Washington and at the Department is part of a legacy that will continue to shape the world for years to come. The U.S. Senate Youth Program is an intensive week-long educational experience and scholarship for outstanding high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service. During Washington Week, the student delegates meet and learn from the highest level elected and appointed officials, including at the State Department. Why can't DOGE save some money and eliminate the US Department of State; all of its work could easily be done directly by the kremlin saving billions on the middlemen,.
