I've learned so much through my volunteering experiences, and I'm grateful for the connections I've made along the way. I have had the privilege of volunteering with various organizations, including APORAJ as a Content Strategist and Social Media Manager ,WIV ACADEMY as an Assistant State Coordinator, and currently with YALI Network as the General Secretary for #YALINetworkOsun, where I write minutes, reports, and schedule meetings. Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community, gain new experiences, and make a posture impact. My interest in community development inspires me to volunteer most times. I love to see people benefit from what I give, build capacity, and improve the quality of their lives. It's one of the ways I plan to create positive social change. It also improves sustainability . My reasons for this is the most important one, which is the love for humanity. I love mankind and I love to serve and give to men. I love people generally, and I love to help them one way or the other. In every aspect I can , volunteering is one of them. It's also for my personal growth and awareness. Volunteering will make me grow more and more in my field, network with people of like mind, and the ones in diverse fields. This will enable me to grow ,work on myself, and work with others . By volunteering, I'm making a difference in someone's life one way or the other. Directly or indirectly, whether I know it or not. Someone is getting motivated, this reason makes me want to do more. To me,volunteering is also a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Like I said initially, it's one of the ways to serve humanity, and through this, I'm fulfilling purpose. Spring Break - That’s a wrap! On school (and summer) breaks, I tend to register my boys for camps. But we also do something called, “How to Be a Person” camp. What is this you ask? Well, it’s all about teaching my boys how to grow into responsible young men, becoming self-sufficent, while learning important life skills! Things like…. ??How to cook safely on the stove ???? ??How to practice simple first aid ?? ??How to wrap a gift ?? ??How to do the electric slide???? - yes, this is a life skill! Today’s lesson : How to SHARE of your time & talents with your local community. Volunteering is an important life skill. ??
