The Department of Defense introduced a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) to assist families with various care-related expenses, including child care, preschool, elder care, summer camp and more. Contributions go straight from a participant’s pay into a DCFSA before taxes are deducted, reducing the amount of income subject to taxes. Service members can contribute a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $5,000 per household. Visit FINRED for more insights and a comprehensive FAQ: https://lnkd.in/eYqF3kX5

Infants, toddlers, and their families should have the support they need to thrive. We know that housing issues, nutrition insecurity, and family stress during the first three years of a baby’s life can have devastating effects on developing brains and bodies with lifelong impacts. But there is some good news.?The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed?the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act, a vital step in expanding and enhancing the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and supporting family economic security. Now we need the Senate to pass it too. #CTC #ChildTaxCredit Click here to help: https://p2a.co/UWlC2TX

Thank you First Five Years Fund for putting together this helpful reference. "American families depend on affordable, reliable, quality child care to go to work – but this care is often hard to find and too costly. When combined with federal investments in early learning and care programs, updating provisions of the United States tax code would help strengthen child care in the United States. Working together and alongside the Child Tax Credit (CTC), these tax provisions represent critical tools for both improving access to care for working families and supporting employers who share child care expenses with their employees." https://lnkd.in/esGWrWnS
