When I got into University of Virginia, they said it was because I was Black.?? When I got my first supervisor role, they said the same.?? When I became a director, again—I heard it.? But I refuse to let anyone define my worth. And so should you.? Your skills got you here.? Your hard work keeps you here.? And your ambition will take you further.? This Black History Month, I celebrate you. Keep showing up. Take up space. Secure your job. Build your business.
