Here's a fine example of what it means to be #ruralstrong in healthcare. Nice work, Ken Westman, on thinking outside the box by creating a network with other #ruralhospitals. It's so important how you're able to remain independent so you're able to serve your communities. https://lnkd.in/gW5VW29U

We are really excited about the next two days at NHS Confed, having the opportunity to engage across the sector with leaders and clinicians around opportunities to improve patient care. Matt Jones, Eleanor Rollason, Josh Hutchison, and Andy Stevens will be there, sharing thoughts and absorbing insights from across the health system. At Channel 3 we recognise how complex things are at the moment across the health and care system, with rising demand and acuity, productivity challenges and of course the resulting financial pressure. And now more than ever, when the NHS and social care can begin to feel like they are being used as a political football in the run up to the election, optimism can be hard to find. But here at Channel 3, we are optimistic about the future. We’re working with forward thinking leaders up and down the country who are putting digital at the heart of their transformation programmes to improve patient care and productivity. Recent announcements in manifestos around more GP appointments and boosting staffing levels all have merit. But at Channel 3 we passionately believe that the key to creating a more sustainable health and care system is the use of digital to fully transform models of care. We are seeing more and more examples of this across the country, and Ralph Cook recently facilitated an engaging breakfast seminar with health and care leaders at the Association of Directors of Adults Social Services Spring Seminar, on how digital can unlock a more preventative model of care, supporting care closer to home. We think it is both critical in terms of the sustainability of the health and care system and the ability to drive great outcomes for all those that we serve that we start to see digital, not as boxes and wires or a solution for a specific problem, but a critical enabler to changing the way we deliver care, at scale. This means using digital to ·??????enable us to predict future health ·??????support and monitor remotely ·??????connect people to reduce loneliness and isolation ·??????reduce demand challenges across the health and care system and ·??????boost productivity and more! This is our message of optimism for a brighter future and we’re looking forward to sharing thoughts with colleagues across the sector at NHS Confed 2024!

Here I am emphasising the importance of building strong VCFSE alliances as routes into the sector and mechanisms to help transform health and care services based on need.
We're reflecting on another excellent keynote panel from this year's HETT North: 'Reflections on Integrated Care Systems: How do we Deliver on the Promises of Integrated Care?'. Chaired by Shanil Mantri, CCIO and Clinical Safety Officer at NHS Bath & Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire ICB, the discussion delved into key challenges facing integrated care, including digital readiness, the role of the voluntary sector, and the imperative for data sharing.
