The past two days, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Eastern Technical and Hartford Technical High Schools, and Jules E. Mastbaum Area Technical School at our Towson, Maryland office in honor of National Apprenticeship Week. We aimed to educate pre-apprentices about career opportunities in the trades and inspire them to pursue this path. The day began at our Learning Center and continued with tours of our R&D Labs and SBDUniversity for product demonstrations. We concluded at our Customer Experience & Innovation Center with a trade-themed game of putt-putt and a lunchtime panel on career exploration featuring Chris “Spider” Gillin, Joe Gibbs Racing Shop Manager, Yohan Green of the ACE Mentor Program of America, and local DEWALT partners, Maria Ford and Jon Howland. DEWALT is committed to growing the trades and will continue to invest in trade schools, scholarships, student engagement, and research. #DEWALT #TradeProud #GrowTheTrades
