On Friday, DEVITA participated in the “Topping Out” celebration for The Boulevard, an affordable housing development with 88 units with under podium parking and a roof top deck, located in Atlanta, GA. DEVITA provided the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural designs for this outstanding project.

One of Element5's Core Values is to strive to invent and re-invent how mass timber manufacturing is done. through ongoing innovation. To help us achieve this goal - we partner with other organizations, companies and institutions to advance our knowledge and understanding of mass timber. A good example of one of these partnerships is with the START - Structural Timber and Applied Research Team at the University of Waterloo. They just released some of their findings on using mass timber composite panels to meet the challenge of using mass timber for open floor plan structures with long floor spans and still meet vibration performance standards. After years of closure, ?????? ???????????? at Hudson Yards in New York City finally reopened last week to the public. It is one of New York City's most photographed places. Designed by London's ?????????????????????? ????????????, the 150-foot tall beehive-shaped structure now has added safety features. Visitors can explore and climb The Vessel through a network of interconnected staircases and platforms. Ten ???????? ?????????? ???????? ?????????????? were installed inside the stair landings. Tuned Mass Dampers (TMDs) are custom-built devices that increase the #damping of a structure in resonance. During fabrication, TMDs are pre-tuned to the theoretical modes and dynamic properties of the structure and then precisely tuned after installation - to match the actual #dynamic characteristics of the structure. GERB Tuned Mass Dampers are passive devices, do not require any power supply, and are ??????????????????????-????????.
