As we wrap up National Volunteer Week (April 21 – 27), it's important to recognize all the individuals who help charities through their generous donations of time. It's estimated that 60+ million people volunteer more than 4 billion hours annually. While many are motivated to volunteer, we sometimes hit roadblocks or challenges to achieve this objective. The Havering Volunteer Centre has been making a real difference in #Havering, thanks to support from the #LowerThamesCrossing Community Fund. With this funding, it’s registered 138 new volunteers, including 52 young people working on their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
