Initial Teacher Education requires all teacher graduates to have skills in the below Priority Areas. Surely Civics and Citizenship knowledge is a priority in our democracy to develop informed and active citizens and should be included in this list? -Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education (see below) -Classroom Management -Information and Communication Technologies -Literacy and Numeracy -Students with Disability -Teaching Students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).

From fair school funding to support for emergent bilingual students and safer schools, we are pushing for change that benefits every child. Key priorities include: - Fair school funding to ensure equitable resources for all students ?? - Expanding opportunities for bilingual students and strengthening dual language programs ?? - Promoting culturally sustaining schools where every student’s identity is celebrated and protected ?? - Eliminating harmful discipline practices and supporting safe, inclusive environments ?? - Preparing all students for college through early college programs and strong advising systems ??
