Simultaneously interpreted in Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, and Russian. Register Here ?? https://lnkd.in/g3hf47XA Led by UNICEF and WHO, the Global Complementary Feeding Collective is a partnership of global agencies dedicated to improving the nutrition of children aged from 6 to 23 months through improved programming, policies, and advocacy, and calls on governments, policymakers, philanthropists, and civil society to address the global nutrition crisis for children under two years of age by placing complementary feeding at the forefront of global, regional, and country agendas. The complementary feeding period, when foods are introduced to the diet alongside continued breastfeeding, affects survival, growth, development, school achievement, and lifelong health and earning. However, around the globe, many children are not receiving the nutrition they need during this time period to grow and thrive. ??One in four children experiences severe child food poverty during early childhood ??Only 47 percent of children 6-23 months are consuming egg, fish, or meat For far too long, progress on efforts to improve nutrition during the complementary feeding period has stalled, with no meaningful progress globally in the past 10 years. As a result, nutrition for children under two has become a crisis that needs urgent action. Register Here ?? https://lnkd.in/g3hf47XA
