Instead, it urges designers to focus on understanding the actual problems people face, analyzing workflows and data, and considering other solutions first. 3 ways AI is saving me hours each week as a product designer. I've been skeptical of AI's impact on our industry, worried it would be used for shallow tasks like generating fake user data or throwaway UI ideas. But Notion's AI has been a huge help in augmenting the way I capture and distribute knowledge: 1. Drafting copy I speed up UX writing and sales copy without removing the human in the loop. Punch in the key details, spin up a prompt, and have a workable first draft in seconds. I used this for our Config after party page and had it 90% done in 5 minutes. 2. Generating user interview questions I’ve been doing this in my recent workflow interviews with my customers. I summarize who I'm talking to, what I want to learn, and what it informs. In a few minutes, I have a workable list of questions I can stack rank or add to. 3. Summarizing user interview insights I'll have an AI bot join my calls, paste the summaries into Notion, and have its AI reformat them into the summaries my team prefers. Format matching isn’t talked about enough. The key: Notion's AI is right where I already work. I live in Notion for knowledge management, so this is a natural way to augment my process without switching tabs. A small but meaningful benefit.
