I’m currently working at The VA in New Orleans as a contractor in The OI&T Dept. This is my second stint in the department as a contractor, the first stint lasted 2 1/2 years. Then I was brought back in April of this year. Mr. Owens or someone can reach out to me see what is wrong with my resume. I can’t even get an interview !
The length of one's resume is directly related to the length of one's relevant experience, education, and accomplishments (to position applying for). For example, a PhD Scientist Engineer with 20 years and multiple positions and work history, would obviously have a lengthier resume that someone, who perhaps, recently graduated from graduate school and is applying for the first or second professional job. My recommendation is don't worry to much about the length, but rather, attend to ensuring your resume accurately and completely highlights your accomplishments and how best to convey your are the very best candidate for the position you are applying for! Good luck!
Here is the updated list Mike is sharing from for jobs that opened today and are also open to the public: https://www.usajobs.gov/Search/Results/?l=&d=VA&hp=public&p=1&s=startdate&sd=desc.

That is the point I am making the resume is not a true picture of the person and both parties lose. This really irritates me.. This is why I have not found a job.
