In the 2023 article from the Journal of Controlled Release, researchers from Pfizer display imaged tumor specimens using Cryo-Fluorescence Tomography (CFT) to measure Nanoparticle biodistribution across the entire thickness of the tumor. Researchers highlight that CFT was not limited to the depth limitations experienced with VIOLA at 1mm, which helped them confirm macroscale observations of the spatial gradient in VIOLA data. Excited to share the publication of the joint project with Jort Groen! https://lnkd.in/ekA3PMxF Uncertainties in tissue and perfusion properties can make hyperthermia treatment planning challenging. In our latest research, we developed robust optimization strategies to account for these uncertainties. The new methods reduced normal tissue hotspots while keeping tumor temperatures effective, with only minor trade-offs. These strategies could make treatments more consistent and reduce the need for frequent adjustments during hyperthermia therapy. Excited to see how this could improve clinical practice! A recent article by Sripad Ram et al., from Pfizer, Inc., published in Nature Portfolio's Scientific Reports, represents the first report in the field of spatial biology of a multi-sample validation strategy for tissue multiplexing technologies, designed specifically to address both accuracy and precision of multiplexing assays.
