Extremist Ohio AG David Yost has decided he wants to be the state’s next governor. We thought it may be a good time to remind you that Yost... ? was caught in Ohio’s most significant political corruption scandal in decades ? publicly shamed and doubted a 10-year-old rape victim ? fought for an abortion ban that put Ohio patients in danger Even Yost’s family has spoken out against him. Ohio deserves better.

Regarding doing harm being in the DNA of Maga here is one more example of it. The case that the Maga Supreme Court refused to hear is not the worst example of doing harm. The worst example of doing harm in this instance is what the Maga govt of Texas sued for. They sued to to ensure doctors DO NOT treat women needing an emergency abortion to save their lives when they present in a Texas hospital emergency. So let that sink in, a state is suing to stop doctors providing emergency treatment to women until and unless there is a very reasonable certainty ( that threshold is not legally defined clearly) that the woman will die..... This is meant to ensure that Texas is not obligated to follow the Federal Emtala law which requires all states to perform emergency medical procedures as required to any patients that present at emergency departments including abortion to save lives. Is there any more clear evidence needed that Maga wants to do harm in every way it can and in this case against women. What is really astounding is how many Maga women will still vote for Maga in Texas.... https://lnkd.in/gJp2Tmhw

The Essence of Prayer Prayer is more than words; it is an act of alignment—a way to harmonize with divine truth, express gratitude, seek guidance, or simply share one’s heart. Key Elements of Prayer: A prayer begins with a focused intention. Whether asking for help, giving thanks, or seeking peace, clarity of purpose opens the channel for divine connection. Sincerity: True prayer comes from the heart, unguarded and authentic. Faith and Trust: Believing in the presence of the divine and the power of prayer deepens its resonance.Living a Prayerful Life Prayer is not confined to specific moments; it can be a way of life. By living mindfully and with gratitude, every action becomes a form of prayer: Acts of Kindness: Helping others with love and compassion is a prayer in action. Mindful Presence: Being fully present in each moment aligns you with the divine flow. Grateful Living: Seeing the divine in all things and offering thanks makes life a continual prayer. Now lets us all pray for all the little lives that never had a voice and stop the unnecessary sacrifice for those that never were given a chance for they have been bullied by evil ways! In today's world, one might assume such practices are a thing of the past, but sadly, female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM) persists. It's distressing to acknowledge that it still occurs. The consequences are severe, ranging from chronic infections to lifelong reproductive issues. It's time to end FGM – it's a violation of human rights. Speak up against all forms of abuse of which FGM is one!!! #endfgm #publichealth #awarenesscampaign #womenandgirls #communityhealth https://lnkd.in/eJjDCzSg

The Texas Attorney General recently filed a first-of-its-kind civil suit in Texas state court against a New York physician, Dr. Margaret Carpenter, for allegedly “providing abortion-inducing drugs to Texans through telehealth.” The case raises several important legal questions, including: (1) whether the Texas AG can force Dr. Carpenter to litigate in a Texas court without any factual allegations of specific contacts between Dr. Carpenter and Texas; (2) whether Texas can ban the prescription of mifepristone, an #FDA-approved medication; and (3) the extent to which New York's abortion #ShieldLaw protects New York physicians who treat patients via #telemedicine in states that have #abortion bans. Eric Gold and Krusheeta Patel explain more here:

The Texas AG’s recent civil suit against a New York provider is a major development and could have significant implications for #abortions and reproductive health care, the interstate practice of medicine via #telehealth, the application of state #shieldlaws, and state restrictions on prescribing FDA-approved medications. In our latest #healthhighlight, Eric Gold and I summarize what could be on the horizon in light of this landmark case.

?JUST RELEASED? Important updates to PRP’s research with Local Solutions Support Center about attacks on local prosecutors. Our whitepaper Preempting Progress: States Take Aim at Local Prosecutors catalogs a sharp uptick in attempts to limit the discretion of local elected prosecutors — particularly those who have said they won’t prioritize abortion prosecutions — as well as successful efforts to push back against these efforts. Read more about the paper from The Intercept: https://lnkd.in/gRW-8yxv Since the Dobbs decision there’s been a sharp increase in efforts to strip power from local prosecutors and the communities that elected them. Specifically, the new research found a total of 53 new efforts to limit prosecutorial power in 26 states in 2023 and early 2024. You can read the full white paper here: https://lnkd.in/gdvG6Mme
