This is a very important read for the pro-democracy ecosystem. There is so much to learn from the past few years - including the very real and potentially painful news that one more podcast (or op ed) is not going to save us.

We also have to face the very real possibility that the work that was done the last few years was not done effectively, and may actually have hurt the cause. Promoting and protecting democracy is great, but how much does it matter to someone who can't make ends meet at the end of the month?
