Want to increase distributor engagement? Make it simple. Distributors don't do complicated. Why would they? Their job is hard enough selling 6, 7, 8 product lines, trying to keep up to date on every product and use case, trying to remember how to access all those different portals, and where to find everything. The best feedback I get is after a demo and someone tells me our solution is "very straightforward." "Looks easy to use." "I like how visual it is." "Seems easy to find things." If you want engaged dealers, give them tools that aren't hard. Then you'll get feedback like I share in the video below.

“Show Me The Money!!!” That’s one of my favourite lines and scenes from one of my favourite movies Jerry Maguire. What that line means to me is that talk is cheap and it’s about putting your money where your mouth is. That’s why proof devices are so important. They’re tools that provide evidence to support what you’re saying about your product or service. Customers are understandably skeptical of most salespeople so proof devices help establish credibility and trust with potential customers. Here are some of the best proof devices: 1 - Testimonials: Hearing positive feedback from satisfied customers reassures potential clients that others have had good experiences with your offerings. 2 - Awards: Winning awards showcases recognition from the industry, which can be a powerful endorsement of your product’s quality and effectiveness. 3 - Client List: A robust list of clients demonstrates your product’s wide acceptance and trust within the market. 4 - Success Photos: Visual proof of your product’s successful implementation can be more convincing than words alone. 5 - Case Studies: Detailed accounts of how your product solved a problem or added value for other clients can illustrate its potential impact. 6 - Models/Samples: Physical models or samples allow potential clients to experience the quality and features of your product firsthand. 7 - Demonstrations: Live demonstrations of your product in action can showcase its capabilities and ease of use. 8 - Trade Articles: Articles about your product in respected trade magazines can provide an unbiased perspective on its benefits. 9 - Consumer Reports: Independent consumer reports can offer credibility through third-party validation. 10 - Spec Sheets: Detailed product specification sheets help clients understand exactly what they’re getting, down to the smallest detail.
