Hi folks, we've got the 5th episode of Delta Emerald Unscripted posted to YouTube. For now, I've got 2 rapid fire questions with our latest guest John Halper of Top 10 Liquors, John Helper. Welcome to the show. Thanks Ian, glad to be here. We will have a much longer intro for you in the long form that we post on YouTube and on all your favorite podcast channels, but for now, I'm just gonna hit you with two rapid fire questions first. Tell me about the opportunity for alcohol, cannabis and THC drinks to all just get along. Great question. You know, I, I look at, and I spoke about this a little bit on our, our, our discussions, but I look at ourselves as really a beverage store. And in our umbrella, we've got a whole bunch of different categories. And I see, and, and one of them is THC as well as the NA category, which has had huge growth, wine, spirits, beer, everything. And I see a lot of posts from people are trying to enhance their own category by trying to downgrade. Others we know cannabis has been fighting the THC industry and even THC will post things about how much better it is than alcohol. And in reality, I think we all really just need to be working together under a broad umbrella because there's a lot of people outside of what we do that would like to get rid of all of us. And rather than fight amongst ourselves, we should be working together to grow the breadth and depth of our category. Very well said. I think in the space of beverages, I think we love to call them just adult beverages. And in the state in, in the sense of of let's say regulated molecules, I would throw CHC in a category of Consumer Packaged Goods that are regulated molecules just like ethanol, alcohol and similar to nicotine as well. So with that being said #2 for you. Something that you wish you knew when you first got into THC drinks and, and, and for those that don't know, John has now been in the business of THC drinks now for a year and three months. So yeah, take it away, John. I, you know, the simplest answer is how strong the category is in our stores because you know, we had no notice. I mean literally our, our state legislator approved us picking up the category and two weeks later it was for sale in our stores. But had I known how big the category we would be, we would have been preparing for months for the introduction to the category from a space allocation to a marketing plan to an assortment and everything else. And instead, literally within two weeks we flipped the switch and we're carrying. Products and had to figure it all out and we did the best we could. But when I look at where we are and where we still have to go, advanced planning would have been really great to launch better to support our customers at a much, much more significant way. Well, you're doing a great service to alcohol stakeholders, cannabis and hemp stakeholders by sharing the information that you you do.
