At Delta Dental of Washington, we believe that building a healthier community goes beyond oral care—it means supporting the overall health and wellness of everyone in Washington. That's why we’re proud to participate in this year’s American Heart Association #HeartAndStrokeWalk, happening this weekend at SEATTLE CENTER and virtually. For the past month, our team has been raising awareness and funds for the AHA’s mission to research and fight heart disease and stroke. Together, Delta Dental of Washington team members raised roughly $40,000 before the close of the event. We're humbled by our team’s commitment to making a difference for such an important cause. This Saturday, many of our colleagues, including our senior leadership team, will be walking together for a healthier Washington. Whether you’re walking with us in person or supporting from afar, every step counts. Let’s take action for our heart health and for those we care about. #HeartAndStrokeWalk #MoveMoreChallenge #CommunityHealth #HealthyWashington #Oralhealth #hearthealth

At the start of my biochemistry class, our professor overheard me complaining to a few of my classmates, “When are we going to start learning about teeth”? He responded, “Kurt, someday you will not be dealing with heads on sticks”. I’ve never forgot those wise words. My 1st lesson in medical-dental integration.
