Tired of utility companies ripping you off? It's time to declare your energy independence! ???? Unless you take action, you'll continue to experience sky-high energy costs that will keep going up and up. But the good news? You can take over your finances by investing in rooftop solar panels and a battery backup system. By generating your own clean renewable energy and storing it in batteries, you not only save money, but you also have backup power for the next blackout. Taking charge of your energy needs and transforming your home can help you: ?? Reduce your electricity costs by at least 50% and fuel your EV for pennies. ?? Have power when you need it, even during utility company blackouts, thanks to energy storage. ?? Say goodbye to fumes and dangerous by-products from gas stoves and furnaces — enjoy greater home safety and comfort. Don't wait for the next rate hike or blackout! Tune into the latest episode of The Energy Show and learn how you can celebrate your own Energy Independence Day! ?? https://lnkd.in/g3MH4749 #CinnamonEnergySystems #TheEnergyShow #SolarPower #BatteryBackup #EnergyIndependence #LowerBills #RenewableEnergy

Surprise! Net zero will not be possible anywhere without a battery swap network. See why in this brief clip (12.5 minutes). Essentially, the all-electric energy system we get from renewables must hook up to an 'energy reservoir', just as water reservoirs catch, store and redistribute rain. Only batteries can do this for energy because they are 95% efficient. The 41 million EV batteries we will get by 2035 will be easily enough to do it, but not with a charging network, as that cannot upload its stored energy back up. The Chinese are already building a 6,000 station network. We must start now without delay - but in a new way, a British Battery Swop Network. https://lnkd.in/eFjcqN9X

I agree with the fossil fuel industry on so many things. But the one thing I couldn't agree with them more about is that people who can reliably generate firm power should be very well rewarded for it. Solar + Storage can generate the most valuable power--when your property wouldn't otherwise have any. And the second most valuable form: the kind that can be delivered on demand when the grid needs it worse. No need to even mention carbon. That's a wonderful plus. It's been fun to work with co-ops to begin to create pilot projects with rate schedules that recognize the value of clean, firm power. #solarplusstorage #bess #vpp #derms #v2G #solar #smartgrid #reliablepower

A short but informative article: "Electric vehicles are on track to meet the country’s goals of decarbonizing transportation — even if EV sales growth is slowing down after years of record-setting increases. Meanwhile, the U.S. still isn’t adding clean energy fast enough to hit its ambitious carbon-cutting goals for the electricity sector. Solar and wind power are now firmly cost-competitive with fossil fuels, but a heap of big, structural challenges like grid interconnection delays are holding up progress." - https://lnkd.in/dCUq6qn4

Renewables are becoming cheaper and more efficient to harness, but we can’t control when the sun shines or the wind blows. That's where battery energy storage systems (BESS) come in. By leveraging advanced safety features, BESS offer secure, stable energy solutions to supply that extra power when we need it most. It's really only discussed in detail at the end of the article but bidirectional charging has the potential to unlock domestic solar power generation. The biggest challenge has always been power storage - I use a 4kwh battery to balance power use between night and day, but often find I'm either running out if the day is cloudy or pouring most of my power generation back into the grid if it's sunny. My car, on the other hand, has a 12kwh battery that could easily soak up that extra power and then return it to me at night or to the grid when supplies are low.

Power Up the Future! ?? #BESS vs. Antiquated Grids Our energy grid is straining. Instead of throwing money at outdated distribution lines, let's invest in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). BESS are like giant power banks for the grid. They store excess renewable energy (think sunshine & wind) and release it when demand is high. This relieves stress on local lines, prevents outages, and paves the way for a smoother #EnergyTransition. BESS are the key to a cleaner, more reliable future. Let's make the switch! #RenewableEnergy #Innovation #Sustainability https://lnkd.in/e82rvfBW

There are 27.8 million UK households. If each had a 20 kWh battery, we’d add 556 GWh of storage—enough to power the UK for over 5 hours. This could: ? Remove the need for fossil fuels by storing energy from our abundant renewables. ? Stabilize the grid by balancing peak demand. ? Slash energy bills by charging during off-peak times. Distributed energy storage isn’t the future—it’s possible now. #BatteryStorage #EnergyTransition #NetZero #RenewableEnergy
