Sometimes a simple "thank you" is enough to brighten you day. The students at Pi?on Elementary School made this sign so that they could say thank you those who are designing and building their new school. Located in Los Alamos Public Schools, Pi?on Elementary School serves almost 400 Prek-6th students. We designed a full replacement of the school to provide inspiring learning spaces for this large age range. To accommodate a steep slope on the site, we designed half of the building to have two floors, while the part of the building on the higher part of the slope has one floor. #ArchitectureInProgress #EducationDesign #Topography

For our design team, healthcare compliance is not a hindrance—it's a creative opportunity to design a space that is safe, resilient, and fosters wellness. At the Presbyterian Healthcare Services Hospital Patient Tower Addition, we used evidence-based design principles to create a space that keeps patients and staff safe and comfortable, with acoustical privacy and friendly but easily maintained, finishes. Built during the COVID-19 pandemic, the design ensures a safer work place for all, with containment features like enhanced negative air pressure.
