Another glorious summer day, another day with our beloved village local closed. Although I do get a sense that there might be something in the offing. We'll see. Watch this space. Not to replace any other guide, just as a standalone guide to which venues (pubs, bars, taprooms) are consistently great, and which beers (which must be available all the time or make regular appearances) are really unmissable. ???? ??YOU CAN NOW RATE ANY BEER AT ANY TIME ?? ???? We have finally added the new feature to The Beer Explorers rating website! We have wanted this feature for a while as it allows users to rate any beer at any time. This means users are no longer limited to only rating beers at festivals or bound by the beers prepopulated on the website. This is great as we can now recommend beers after beer festivals to attendees that they didn't try at the event and see how much they like our recommendations! As always you can then track all your beer reviews through "Your Ratings". This new feature is beautifully demonstrated in the video below! #beerexplorers?#beernerd?#beerstagram?#beersuk?#beerrating

A little bit of practical knowledge at the end of the day to celebrate German Beer Day: We measured it once with our Portavo and a pH sensor SE555 and show here our measurement results for different beers: ? a dark beer from Berlin ? a wheat beer from southern Germany and a ? alcohol-free Pilsner from northern Germany. ??????????: There are differences, but they are not very big. ??????????????, ?????? ?????? ?????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ????????????????.?? This is not great for enjoyment, but this doesn't matter for the measurement, because the Portavo transmitter compensates for the temperature to determine the correct pH value. We have a new beer coming, and it is one we never anticipated making. ? About a year ago, our friends at the Sheraton Hotel challenged us to make a beer using honey from their culinary garden on the rooftop of the Sheraton downtown. The sales team and I got very excited. The brewers, not so much. ? Honey in a beer… Isn't someone else in DFW doing that already? And it's their flagship beer, right? Yes, which is why we knew we couldn't also use citrus. That made the challenge even harder because the flavors pair perfectly together! ? After a year of playing with variations and sometimes avoiding the project altogether, we created a beautiful honey lager that our brewers love just as much as the sales team. You can taste the honey, but it's not over the top or too sweet. And no fake adjuncts. It's truth to materials with the honey exactly as it should be. ? Now, it needs a name! We've been brainstorming, and we need help. Do you love any of these names or have ideas? ? Buzz Brigade Bee-52?(I can't believe how much I love this one) Buzz Bomber Sweet Victory?(might be a trademark violation) Honeycore Golden Cargo ? It will be on tap on Tuesday. It's not ready for distribution yet. We need a name first so then we can label it!
