BRP - Club 2025!
Back in the day I used to attend multiple dealer shows each year, but over time I backed off. 15 years back, there was always new product to see and factory relationships to foster. Recently, most shows have just morphed into propaganda events, and I quit going. Time is valuable, and so my current attendance is limited to 1 or 2 shows a year.
Over the last year, I've exerted a considerable amount of time and energy battling vendors (and not just for our dealership, but for every powersports dealer in the country). In an average week, I spend more time pushing back against vendor overreach than I do focusing on marketing and selling vehicles. With BRP, 6 months back, our relationship was pretty tattered, but then I felt like they turned a corner. All of a sudden it seemed as if they were interested in listening to what we had to say, and they were also willing to make adjustments.
Things aren't perfect, but right now our relationship with BRP is in a good place. For that reason, I'm taking some time to travel across the country to attend Club. I'm interested to hear what they have to say. The current market is tough, and that can make it hard to put a positive spin on things. In 24 hours, we'll know more.
