Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport continues its impressive growth, reporting a record 1,878,945 passengers for 2024—a 13% increase over 2023. With service from Delta, United, Southwest, and American Airlines, ECP connects the region to major destinations across the country, including Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Nashville, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C. Since its relocation, ECP has grown exponentially from just 312,540 passengers and one direct flight to Atlanta, to a thriving regional hub with multiple airlines and direct routes. Its success highlights the ongoing expansion and demand for travel to Northwest Florida.

Southwest Airlines is set to enhance its route network by introducing new services from Austin, Texas, and expanding intra-Florida flights. Starting March 6, 2025, the airline will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). These additions aim to strengthen Southwest’s presence in Austin, offering passengers more travel options to the Midwest and West Coast. In addition to the Austin expansions, Southwest plans to bolster its intra-Florida network. United Airlines' hub at Washington Dulles International Airport is about to get an upgrade of more than $500 million. * United Airlines will invest in the revamp, which will include the construction of Concourse E, dedicated to United and which will include 435,000 square feet, 14 gates, a new 40,000-sq.-ft.
