The current times are proving to be challenging for many organizations, and BBM is no exception. The pressure is immense, and the light at the end of the tunnel is not yet in sight. I've noticed a common trend among many non-profits - they are often unaware of the external support options available to them. Engaging with these organisations is a huge passion of mine. I enjoy listening to their aspirations for the charity and its service users, often (not always!) identifying simpler solutions than they initially think. Managing a small non-profit can be enormously challenging, but with the right support and connections, it doesn't have to be a lonely journey. Today, I met an inspiring lady who runs a non-profit on a voluntary basis. The option of external support wasn’t even on her radar. She handles everything from paying the bills to organising events, outings, and volunteer-led sessions. Similarly, I also met with a man who, alongside his full-time job, is striving to 'save' a non-profit without knowing about the external support available. These examples highlight a prevalent issue, many non-profits like these, are in dire need of our support, however they can’t ask for help if they don’t know it exists!
