Nursing schools historically include minimal focus on nephrology, but we're working to change that. We're focused on securing collaborations with universities so we can increase understanding of how uniquely rewarding the #nephrology specialty can be. In an effort to make nephrology curriculums more accessible, we will continue to invest in academic practice partnerships, offer clinical internships to nursing students, and grow our residency program for newly hired nurse graduates to get the support they need during their first year. This is wonderful, I’m in NP school and want to use my knowledge of Dialysis both Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis as a preventative medicine curriculum for my thesis! More emphasis needs to be given on the prevention versus reactive care like it was in past times.
This is Awesome and needful. I am currently a Dialysis manager and an clinical instructor for two local colleges. As part of my career path to educational awareness, my students get a rotation in the dynamic world and exposure to hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis while developing a understanding of nephrology nursing.?
Good job
