ASSURANCE and NAVY SEALS…. In specific Assurance workshops, we ask 3 questions to open minds, stimulate discussion to achieve behavioural change. Interesting that this approach is endorsed by Navy Seals who only use those same 3 questions to review missions. ‘Their After Action Reviews (AAR) specifically, review projects, missions, training exercises or any other event they want to reflect on. There’s a world of difference between an effective AAR and a post-mortem bitch session.’ The magic is in the phrasing of the questions that we at Assurance use from from our stock of challenging questions dependant on the situation, client needs, expectations and desired output(s). If you want to know how to facilitate behaviour change through opening minds and stimulating meaningful discussion, and to find out more about the reticular activating system, then contact me: [email protected]

Part 1 Continues:Executive Summary Exercise: Preparedness to Fight in Enemy Territory Conclusion: "Bravery Beneath the Moon: A Navy Seal's Dance with the Deep" not only poeticizes the visceral experience of Navy Seals training but also encapsulates the profound lessons in preparedness, courage, and respect when facing challenges in hostile territories. The executive summary outlined above draws actionable insights and strategic frameworks from the poetry, aiming to enrich the preparedness of individuals or teams about to engage in complex environments where the adversary holds home advantage. By embracing these principles, one can foster a mindset and operational readiness that transcends the physical realm, tapping into the psychological and emotional reservoirs that define true bravery and effectiveness in the face of adversity. To operationalize these strategies, it is essential to integrate them into the training curriculum, standard operating procedures, and cultural ethos of the organization. Regular debriefings and reflective practices should be instituted to ensure continuous learning and adaptation based on real-world experiences. Moreover, fostering an environment that values respect for adversaries and promotes an understanding of their strengths and vulnerabilities can lead to more nuanced and strategic engagements. Ultimately, the essence of "Bravery Beneath the Moon" transcends the specifics of military operations, offering timeless wisdom on the nature of courage, preparedness, and the human spirit's capacity to face the unknown. By internalizing and applying these lessons, individuals and teams can significantly enhance their operational effectiveness and resilience, regardless of the challenges that lie ahead.

MSgt (Dr.) Jericho Blanchard, Chief of Training and Development at ACC Inspector General ran an open ranks inspection. He said: "The foundation of success lies in attention to detail and standards. Yesterday, the ACC/IG conducted our open ranks inspection, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline and standards even amidst force optimization efforts. Remember, consistency in the little things breeds excellence in everything we do." Let's read that first sentence one more time. "The foundation of success lies in ATTENTION TO DETAIL and STANDARDS." (Emphasis mine) Someone with the name that begins with Drill and ends with Master has repeated a phrase very similar to that thousands of times and here it is from another (gasp!) Airman! You put on a uniform and you immediately incur certain responsibilities. When you pick up a piece of equipment, you take on even more responsibility. Don't like it? Don't do it. By the way," force optimization" means do more with less for the millionth time since 1990. We have fewer people doing more jobs than ever in the history of the US military and that's not going to end well. ??Education is ??! . ??Read your manuals! Slow is smooth, Smooth is fast. It's no wonder that the origin of this mantra comes from the training of Special Ops; the Navy Seals, a world renowned organization with the highest of standards. Blundering through work with no intentionality or precision quite rarely leads to a high yield of results. In fact, it most likely will lead to mistakes that will need additional hours and resources to rectify. One step towards a goal is better than two steps in the wrong direction. And lack of quality certainly will lead you the wrong way. Learn and exercise precision before ramping up speed. Speed training should happen once your quality of work is impeccable. By integrating, "slow is smooth, smooth is fast," into our work we are more likely to tap into flow state. And that is where the real magic happens. ?

As someone passionate about effective training techniques, I came across a fascinating article about how the United States Air National Guard (ANG) is revolutionizing its training approach. With more than 100,000 part-time "weekend warriors" nationwide, maintaining proficiency in technical fields poses a significant challenge. The ANG addresses this by empowering subject matter experts (SMEs) with essential instructional skills. This shifts from simply having expertise to effectively transmitting that knowledge to others. The article delves into the process of equipping SMEs with the tools they need to become effective trainers, from understanding how people learn to developing training programs and mastering presentation skills. It's an approach that resonates deeply with my work in conducting train-the-trainer courses. By investing in building SMEs' instructional skills, the ANG is ensuring its airmen are better prepared to meet the unique demands of serving and protecting our nation. Kudos to them for prioritizing training excellence! I'm excited to see more organizations embracing innovative training methodologies. #TrainingExcellence #Empowerment #LifelongLearning https://lnkd.in/eR2kBTYU

Close Quarters Battle (CQB) training is essential for military and law enforcement, and specialized civilian operators who need to act in confined, often populated environments. This involves understanding the principles and techniques required for effective room clearance, threat prioritization, and tactical movement. Key elements include learning how to move through doorways, clear rooms, and engage multiple targets effectively. Scenario-based training is crucial to developing these skills. https://lnkd.in/dpkhVrjh #cqb #trainingtracks #militarytraining #lawenforcement #combattraining #closequartersbattle Trango Systems Hagai Mordechai Eitan Bengad Eric Perez Yehuda Hillman
