Over 100 marketing ops pros joined our live town hall last week. It wasn’t recorded - but here were the key takeaways: 1 - Ops leaders are cutting out low ROI tech 2 - Smart marketing ops stay close to executive sponsors to understand changing priorities 3 - Tip: Create a “gas pedal” budget, a list of investments if you get more approved 4 - Leaders are being strategic by creating an agile 1 year plan and an ideal 3 year plan 5 - Teams are forced to justify all spend 6 - To create an ops road map: define your North Star, supporting pillars, outcomes, and key projects 7 - Important - work with your team to identify new opportunities for automation to increase impact 8 - Remember- even with a down economy, there will always be a need to “focus on good marketing” Which resonates with you? Thanks to Danielle Balestra and Moni Oloyede for leading the discussion! Make sure to join the next town hall next month, link in the comments via Thao Ngo #marketing #martech #marketingoperations
I have such FOMO from missing the session last week.
I would add to # 4 Leaders are being strategic by creating an agile 1 year plan (that should be tracked month to month with quarterly realignments) and an ideal 3 year plan
Darrell Alfonso there was one other 9 - while headcount is being limited bringing in impact players/ consultants for short term strategic support adds value Thank you, Danielle Balestra, Moni Oloyede and Thao Ngo as well as the rest of the participants for another great and informative session!
Darrell Alfonso this resonated with me the most: "To create an ops road map: define your North Star, supporting pillars, outcomes, and key projects" Thank you for sharing it.
Looking forward to the next session!
