Hospitals based Cardiac Rehabilitation Hospital-based Cardiac Rehabilitation with well equipped Gym and Telemetry system certainly has its advantages, especially when it comes to safety and comprehensive care, but sadly proper funding and space allocation in the hospitals isn’t given the priority by any management as a result it’s done in Leisure centres where the safety is compromised and in case of emergency there is nothing available in time except just a AED in hand. Some of the advantages are : Close Monitoring: Medical staff can closely monitor patients progress and quickly address any issues that are noticed on the Telemetry system. Access to Medical Support: Immediate access to medical professionals and emergency equipment ensures prompt care if needed. Structured Environment: Hospital settings provide a structured environment, which can be beneficial for those needing more support and supervision. Multidisciplinary Team: Access to a range of specialists, including cardiologists, physiotherapists, nurses and dietitians, ensures a holistic approach in achieving the continuum of care. Hope this will be taken to serious consideration and to bring about new dimension to Cardiac Rehabilitation in the future for the benefit of the patients.
