Happy New Year! ?? I spent some downtime diving into the world of AI agent platforms, focusing mainly on their ability to create workflows for no/low-code use cases. My goal was to explore how these platforms could streamline prototyping and scaling, all while balancing flexibility with ease of use. - Part 1 - 1. Flowise - https://flowiseai.com/ Flowise’s drag-and-drop interface makes building basic workflows incredibly accessible. I quickly created an LLM-powered pipeline to process customer feedback and generate insights. Standout: Flowise is lightweight and intuitive, making it perfect for rapid prototyping or experimenting with new ideas. Its integration with various vector databases also simplifies embedding search. Limitation: Flowise struggled with scaling more complex workflows. While the platform is beginner-friendly, it’s less equipped for advanced multi-step or branching logic. 2. Buildship - https://buildship.com/ Buildship’s real-time collaboration features were a game-changer. I worked on a small pipeline with multiple APIs, and the visual interface made debugging and refining workflows incredibly smooth. Standout: Real-time debugging, shared workflows, and integrated dashboards for monitoring AI agents make it an excellent choice for collaborative environments. Limitation: Buildship feels resource-heavy and is better suited for dedicated teams working on long-term projects. It may be overkill for individual users or lightweight use cases. 3. LangFlow - https://www.langflow.org/ LangFlow shares many similarities with Flowise but stands out with its seamless integration of external APIs. The modular approach makes it easy to refine workflows. Standout: The pre-built templates for NLP workflows were a lifesaver. LangFlow’s visual builder allows you to adjust chain parameters and add functionality incrementally. Limitation: If you’re not already familiar with LangChain’s ecosystem, there’s a learning curve that could slow down the onboarding process. The marketplace is still in development, but it should provide opportunities for non-developers to plug and play. 4. StackAI - https://www.stack-ai.com/ StackAI enables users to combine various data types into cohesive workflows. This versatility allows you to build sophisticated AI agents that can analyze and process data from multiple sources. Standout: Its versatility with different data types is unmatched. StackAI’s ability to build complex, multi-functional agents without significant coding effort is a major highlight. Limitation: The tradeoff for its multi-modal power is high computational demands. Teams without robust infrastructure may face challenges when scaling larger models. Each of these platforms offers unique strengths, whether you’re focused on ease of use, real-time collaboration, or multi-modal capabilities. ??? Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to absorb a lot of new knowledge and insights at #KMWorld24 regarding search, findability, genAI, enterprise knowledge and much more! I had again also the opportunity to impart some of my wisdom at the Enterprise Search & Discovery conference track. ?? I talked about the evolution of our enterprise search app to a GenAI empowered search, continuing the story I started last year, as well as conversational (AI) search in general. The options out there are massive, ranging from no-code solutions like M365 Copilot and low-code solutions like chatbots created with Copilot Studio to pro-code solutions leveraging the full force of Azure AI Search. ? With some many different options out there, one might wonder "what to use when?". We asked ourselves that very same question, and designed a scenario where we compared 6 different ways of applying conversational search to our delaware.pro website with a set of 30 questions. The results were - to say the least- very insightful. ?? Starting from the intended use of each application (see image) we used the results to come up with recommended use for each, and ultimately a decision (Christmas?) tree to identify the best suited solution for your needs and requirements. ?? It was quite some work to get everything set-up, tested and processed, so a big thanks to Thomas Maes and Mathias Deleu for their appreciated help, and to get the latest results in the presentation just in time ?? ??
