Basics of the Flight Management System ?It combines the lateral and vertical navigation control with full performance management. ?It defines a desired route from an aircraft's position to any point in the world basing on the operating characteristics of the aircraft. ?It uses inputs from various systems such GPS, IRS, VOR, DME to develop an accurate position than any single system can provide. ?It performs flight plan computations, displays the total picture on the flight displays and provides signals to the Autopilot and Auto throttle for automatic tracking. ?To enhance it's accuracy, the FMS database is updated every 28 days. The G-Suit: A Lifesaving Gear for Fighter Pilots & Why They Breathe Heavily During Hard Turns Fighter pilots rely on specialized gear, and one of the most critical pieces is the G-suit. Designed to counteract the extreme G-forces during sharp maneuvers, the suit inflates around the legs and abdomen, preventing blood from pooling in the lower body and helping pilots stay conscious. But why do pilots breathe so heavily during these hard turns? When G-forces increase, blood tends to drain from the brain, causing G-LOC (G-induced Loss of Consciousness). To combat this, pilots perform the Anti-G Straining Maneuver (AGSM), which involves controlled, forceful breathing and muscle tensing to maintain blood flow to the brain. The work of WG-105 is organised into six Focus Teams, each dedicated to a specific area. The current Focus Areas are: ? Detect and Avoid (#DAA) ? Command, Control, Communication (#C3) ? UAS Traffic Management (#UAS) ? Design and Airworthiness Standards ? Enhanced RPAS Automation (#ERA) ? Specific Operations Risk Assessment (#SORA) ? ??
