In 2020, as I was driven to transition out of traditional therapy, I found myself searching for what was next. I wasn’t just figuring out my career—I was figuring out me. That journey led me to create The Journey to Greater, a guided journal designed to help people explore who they are, what drives them, and how they fit into the world. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this framework—the process of self-discovery, strengths identification, and purpose-driven exploration—wasn’t just a tool for personal growth. It was the missing piece in how we approach workforce development. For too long, people have been told to fit into job descriptions instead of aligning careers with their natural strengths, skills, and passions. But when you flip the script—when you start with who you are and what you’re great at—the world of work opens up in ways most people never imagined.
