mission: sincerity Are you buying what you’re selling? Many of us remember the 2005 rom com “Hitch,” starring Will Smith and Kevin James. In the midst of all the laughs and hijinx, there is a poignant message of mission and conviction, during the final 15 minutes of the film. The two main characters square off, and James’ character calls Smith’s character to the carpet for living a duplicitous life. “You’re selling this stuff…but you just don’t believe in your own product!” Check out this clip...(https://lnkd.in/gBCBUhfh) As a leader, are you sincerely confident about the mission you’re pursuing? Do you have personal buy-in to the what and why of the service, vision, or product you’re pitching? In your mind and heart, do you believe the mission is actually attainable? Answering “yes” to all these questions is the only way to lead with true integrity. Leading and empowering others to achieve explicit goals (the small ones and the big, audacious ones), demands your sincerity. Period. Hypocrisy is way too easy to sniff out. But when you believe in your cause, engaging stakeholders–internal and external–comes naturally…and honestly. Integrity is like a warm fire, inviting (and igniting) others to be on mission with you. Want to be a leader who lives your mission out loud with authenticity and excitement? Let’s connect today to ignite that spark of possibility among your team. #relationalleadership #missionpossible #100X

One of my favorite movies is Ron’s Gone Wrong. Early in the film, there’s a scene where Barney explains how someone can be HIS friend, but his explanation is all about what others can do for HIM. As the movie progresses, Ron (the robot) teaches Barney a valuable lesson: it’s not about what others can do for you—it’s about serving others. The same is true in business. We’re not here to make friends; we’re here to serve our customers and communities, it's possible to do both. I often see the quote, “Surround yourself with people who will say your name in a room full of opportunity.” While that’s great advice, I suggest flipping it. ?? Be the person who says other people’s names in a room filled with opportunity. Help create opportunities for others, and you’ll be surprised by how much an attitude of giving can improve your business and your relationships. ? Companies that lead with a customer-first mindset are 60% more profitable than those that don’t." – Forbes #ServeOthers #BusinessRelationships #GiveToGrow #CustomerFirst #OpportunitiesForAll #BusinessGrowth #NetworkingMatters #PayItForward #Leadership #SuccessThroughService

?? THE DAILY DECISION ?? What does it take to build an empire? For most people, the answer is a waiting game, hoping for “their moment.” But for Dre Baldwin, the secret is in a single, relentless choice—showing up every single day since 2005. ?? Today, I’m excited to release The Daily Decision: The Dre Baldwin Story, a video that isn’t just about a journey from Division III benchwarmer to digital icon, but a blueprint for anyone who wants to create their moment instead of waiting for it. Imagine this: ?? Starting with nothing but a basketball and an idea. ?? Posting your first YouTube video, before “viral” was even a thing. ?? Building a global brand, not through luck or a single moment, but through the power of consistency. Dre’s story is one of relentless Discipline, Confidence, Mental Toughness, and Personal Initiative—not just buzzwords, but guiding principles that have taken him from empty gyms to packed auditoriums, from uploading alone to inspiring millions. Here’s why you need to watch: ?? You’ll see how consistency outshines talent every single time. ?? You’ll understand how one simple decision, made every day, has the power to change everything. ?? You’ll be challenged to ask yourself: What’s the one thing I’m willing to commit to, day after day? The world is filled with shortcuts, quick wins, and overnight “success” stories. But if you’re ready to build something REAL, if you’re ready to invest in a legacy, then this is your invitation to start with one powerful question: What’s your daily decision? ?? Watch the full video and let Dre Baldwin’s story challenge you to step up, commit, and create your moment. ?? Your empire isn’t built in a day. It’s built daily. Summary: The EQ and FQ impact of losing something Tonight I caught up with 3 friends in the pub. It was a fantastic evening. However, half way through the evening one of my friends lost his sunglasses ?? when we moved tables. Yes, they were replaceable but that's not the point. He spent the rest of the evening moping and distracted that he'd lost the sunglasses (something that carried a lot of sentimental value). The result was that he didn't engage as much with the rest of the conversation. That was until we found the sunglasses and then his entire demeanor changed. That's the reality of external factors on a person's engagement; something that impacts teams and companies all the time. Sometimes, it's the smallest things that were not even aware of that limit effectiveness It's whether you notice and what you do about it that is the mark of a great leader ?? #effectiveness #StartupLife #SmallBusinessOwner #PositivePalestinian #EQ #EmotionalIntelligence #Loss #sunglasses #LosingSomething

This weekend, I rewatched '12 Angry Men'—both the 1957 and 1997 versions. It is probably one of the best films ever created, with deep messages. 12 Angry Men is more than just a courtroom drama, it's a masterclass in leadership, decision-making and human behavior. Here are some important lessons which we can learn from this movie: 1?? The Power of One Voice - One person’s courage to stand alone can influence and inspire others. 2?? Listening -?Listen to others perspectives before forming your conclusion. 3?? Think critically -?Never blindly accept something that looks obvious. Examine more deeply. 4?? Adaptability -?Be open to change when new evidence or perspectives are presented. 5?? Attention to Detail - Even small details can have a big impact on the final result. 6?? Patience - Take your time for better decision-making. This film teaches us that persistence and open-mindedness are essential in both personal and professional life. If you haven't watched it yet, make sure to do so, it's a must see for any movie lover. #BeingCurios #Leadership #DecisionMaking #CriticalThinking #Teamwork #movie

Today has been an exceptionally long, rigorous, and rewarding day . I’ve spent hours in consultations with clients, navigating through turbulent waters to contract negotiations. And like many of us with ADHD, my mind wondered into the fantastic world of my youth when I played video games. My favorite types were the sparring games, such as Tekken, Street Fighter, and all time favorite, Mortal Kombat. Whether I was actively engaging in the conversations or acting as a advisor, I could listen to how some of my clients were having challenges, feeling defeated within these corporate hunger games And I realized, the corporate landscape, which many professionals war against daily was similar to what I’d label: corporate combat. The verbal sparring, the strategic alignments, and the perpetual code switching takes a strenuous mental toll. Feeling attacked in business can sometimes feel like a relentless round of Mortal Kombat, where every move you make meets with an unexpected counter and every decision leads to a more complex challenge. It’s as if you’re constantly on the defensive, dodging the Shao Kahns and Kitanas of the corporate world, who seem to have mastered the art of surprise attacks. It’s frustrating when it feels like every step forward is met with two steps back, especially when you’re committed to playing by the rules and striving for excellence. In these moments, it’s crucial to remember the essence of Mortal Kombat—it’s not just about the battles won, but also about the resilience developed and the strategies honed through each fight. Just as in the game, where players learn to anticipate moves and counter effectively, the business battles teach us resilience, strategic planning, and the ability to think quickly under pressure. So, here’s to turning those attacks into opportunities to sharpen our own skills, reminding us that sometimes, to win in the corporate arena, you need to tap into your inner warrior and fight back with strategy and strength. And when the dust clears, all you should hear is.. [Insert Your Name] WINS?? #BusinessIsPersonal #InRealLife #Leadership #Corporate #OrganizationalDevelopment #Strategy

“It’s not mean, it’s clear” There’s a great video about giving feedback from Kim Scott (https://lnkd.in/eDKWq3fw) about the origins of her book “Radical Candor.” Here’s the thing that stuck with me from her book: People hesitate to give feedback because they worry that it will make the other person feel bad or that they will react negatively. They might … We are all human. It’s hard to receive feedback. It can be a blow to our egos. But here’s the thing … I would rather be upset for a few minutes when someone gives me meaningful feedback in the spirit of helping me improve versus feeling the constant anxiety of knowing something’s not working but no one will tell me what it is. So managers, don't wait until there’s a huge problem. Give the feedback now, explaining that you are trying to help your people grow. Know that their reaction may not be perfect, but that they will appreciate your investment in their growth with a little distance. And when it’s your turn to receive feedback, accept it - maybe even ask for it. If your initial reaction isn’t perfect, give yourself a break. Then thank your manager, because the best way to grow is to encourage them to give you as much feedback as possible. Ask me about my? “Middle Manager Toolkit” presentation, workshop, coaching or course here on LinkedIn or send me a note at [email protected] (Plus I am working on a book about the middle management toolkit - more to come on this.) #middlemanagement #feedback Proprioceptive

Trick or Treat! Even 70s horror movies offer surprising lessons. Last night, my husband and I watched the original?Halloween, and here’s what I took away for professional development: ???Be Aware.?In the movie, there were countless chances to avoid the masked man if only the characters had been a bit more aware! At work, awareness is just as important—understanding the people, priorities, and vision around you can make all the difference. Staying focused only on your own needs can isolate you from the organization’s goals. Stay aware, keep learning, and keep growing. ???Be Vocal and Confident.?The doctor tried to warn the town about Michael Myers, but his message didn’t get through, leading to disaster. When you believe in an idea or a risk, speak up. Don’t hesitate to stand by your convictions—it could be just what your team or company needs to avoid major pitfalls. ???Finish the Job.?Jamie Lee Curtis’ character got Michael three times, only for him to keep coming back! Whether it’s in surviving Halloween or achieving a professional goal, don’t stop short. Believe in yourself, stay focused, and keep pushing forward until you see things through. There’s something to learn in everything! Happy Halloween!????? https://lnkd.in/eG-8gSSm #HalloweenLessons #ProfessionalGrowth #Leadership #KeepLearning #HappyHalloween #MovieMoments #MoviesInspire??#StoryTeller #YourNextSalesLeader?

Today, we get a lifetime's worth of information in one day, burning our bandwidth. That's why we created a structure where you can compensate industry pros – coaches, casting directors, voice directors, and working actors – for their time. This reciprocity leaves you fulfilled and them feeling good. Simon Sinek says true fulfillment comes from lifting others with your heart, and this is a way to do it in our modern world.

"Who put the idea in your head that you would be successful at your job or as a leader?" It's a simple yet profound inquiry that invites us to reflect on our own journeys and the influences that have shaped our careers. Think back to the person or people who believed in you, who saw your potential, and encouraged you to strive for success. Maybe it was a mentor who took you under their wing, a boss who gave you that first big break, or even a family member who always had faith in your abilities. These individuals played a crucial role in shaping your confidence and guiding you towards your goals. Now, imagine the impact you can have if you become that kind of leader for your team. By being positive and empowering, you can inspire your staff to reach their full potential. It's about creating an environment where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to excel. When you lead with encouragement and belief in others, you cultivate a culture of growth and success. This Approachability Minute reminds us that leadership is not just about giving orders or managing tasks. It's about nurturing the talents and aspirations of those around us. It's about being the kind of leader who leaves a lasting, positive impression on the people we work with. So, the next time you interact with your team, ask yourself: Are you the kind of leader who instills confidence and fosters success? Are you the person who plants the idea in someone's head that they can achieve greatness? Embrace the challenge to be that leader, and watch your team—and yourself—thrive.
