Do you agree with this statement? As employees, we spend more time with our colleagues than anyone else. So it follows that as employers, we need to be creating environments where, if the statement rings true, we’re consistently raising the average. #certusrecruitment #motivationalquote #managementtalk #companyculture #workingenvironment #jimrohn

Nonprofit leaders! How are your people? Really though. How are they doing? According to a recent Social Impact Staff Retention Survey by Michelle Flores Vryn, CFRE and Evan Wildstein 74% of nonprofit workers are considering leaving their role in the next year. ?? >>People are the ?? of our orgs. Lets treat them that way. >>Tech ?? is a tool for enhancing our practices and processes. It should allow our people to do deeper, humany work. (not just more work) >>Insights and data ?? should be used to guide our work. Thank you for helping bring insights to our industry. ??? How might we help leaders in our organizations build capabilities and capacity around creating regenerative workplaces for our nonprofiteers? Link to the full report in comments. Read it. Share it. Connect.
“While we find the premise interesting, we are focusing on novel, technological ways to boost staff engagement.” By this point many folks know Michelle Flores Vryn, CFRE and I released the Social Impact Staff Retention (SISR) report earlier this year. In doing so we connected with publications and presenters to socialize the data and we’ve been surprised at the responses — both ways. Folks asked for a deeper dive, so we created a whole set of recommendations to complement the findings. (Link in comments!) And friends like We Are For Good and others invited us to speak up and speak out about three-fourths of nonprofiteers looking for new jobs because their workload is unmanageable. But others gave same variation on the response above. Y’all. All the fancy technology and bells and whistles in the world won’t solve for fundamental human issues. (Right, Tim Lockie?) So here’s your call to action. If you’re serious about staff engagement and growth, if nothing else, read the report and recommendations. If you want to go deeper and need help translating this for your decision-makers, find Michelle and me and we’ll get you right. There’s nothing more novel than treating your human beings in a human way. And there’s lots we can do about that!

Meet George Zaninovich, MURP (he/him), one of our Directors of Employer Transformation. George says: "For me, trust is built when the gap between what an employer says they are and what they actually are is intentionally being closed. That means bringing in diverse voices, listening to those voices, and making structural changes based on what was heard. Hopefully, when that happens, all people feel more comfortable giving input."
