Job Overview The primary responsibility of the Site Merchandising Attribution Specialist is to oversee the optimization of sitewide attribution strategies to drive discoverability of products on site. As the primary stakeholder of attribution this role will be responsible for defining processes and providing input on product enhancements for total site merchandising to leverage. A successful candidate will be analytical, highly organized and process driven, have strong collaboration skills and a deep knowledge of enterprise data and systems. This position reports to the Director of Site Experience. What You Will Do Subject matter expert on sitewide attribution strategies and best practices. Collaborate with business teams to set up business rules for automated attribution tagging to drive efficiency. Owner of adding backend data that impacts on-site experience: new attribution, new sizes, size mappings, brand mappings. Centralized owner of all attribution requirements by family of business - partnering with Site Merchandising teams on proposed changes and updating all systems as necessary. Collaborate with Marketplace team on taxonomy changes and execute quarterly 3rd party system updates to ensure sellers are leveraging accurate attribution. Act as an advocate for the Site Merchandising team regarding the roll out of new enhancements, processes, and product information management systems. Investigate data issues and provide tracking and resolution through JIRA. Partner with Data Governance on enterprise data & hierarchy strategies. Delegate responsibilities and leverage offshore team to complete tasks. Effectively communicate and build trust with cross-functional relationships across Site Merchandising, Marketplace, Tech, Data Governance, Product Management, Merchandising, Marketing, and outside vendors when applicable. Skills You Will Need BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years related experience. Professional experience in retail, site merchandising, and/or analytics. ****Account Management Hiring in Retail Media**** When I set up Vertical Advantage I had restrictions from working with 144 retailers / consumer brands for a year. I hadn't run my own desk for 2 years & wanted to build an desk connected to my network - I chose the data & loyalty space within agencies & in my first couple months I placed talent with 5one (now Mastercard) and Ogilvy. Soon afterwards I developed a great relationship with Aimia Inc (thanks Bradley Winstanley) and as this market evolved, we built more and more relationships within the Retail Media space. What I love about hiring here is that the pool of talent & transferable skills is so broad in this space and you can excel in this space coming from various markets - here's some skills / market thoughts to consider if hiring in the space: Retail - Buying, Partnerships, Marketing, Category Management & eComm; FMCG - Trade / Shopper Marketing, Category Management, National Accounts & Insights; Media - all aspects of the media industry but publishing / traditional print often transitions well & have great retail understanding; Agencies / Platforms - more obvious but data literacy is key when hiring talent in this space & those within the more creative markets can often struggle in retail media; What have I missed? #RetailMedia #Hiring #Skills
