The best part of my job is getting to know the companies we work with. ? Sometimes when we are REALLY lucky, getting to “know” them involves a Pickleball tournament. If you’ve read my posts, you’ve probably seen me praising Lancaster County. This week we got spend time with Merv King and the team at Beuta. Another Lancaster gem. Getting to work with companies like Beuta is what I love most about my job. They are a talented team with a vision. And they are growing crazy fast! If you like board rooms, bureaucracy, big egos, strong opinions, and slow decision making, then you probably won’t think they are very much. If you like seeing Amish family members working together manufacturing products they believe in.?And you like seeing offices with kids art plastered over every inch of wall space.?And a tangible excitement about growth and what the future holds.?Then like me, you’ll probably think they are totally awesome.?

???? Locked, loaded, and laser-focused on team building success! ?? Last Friday, the Carrington West Compliance & Business Support Squad took a break to embrace their inner commandos in a fierce game of laser tag! ?? Amidst the flashing lights and echoing gunfire, we discovered that teamwork isn't just about reaching targets – it's about reaching them together! ?? ?? Trust is the bullseye of any successful team, and what better way to build it than by dodging lasers together? From planning ambushes to covering each other's backs, every zap and dodged beam solidified our bonds. After all, nothing says "I trust you" like letting a colleague lead the charge while you provide cover fire! ?? But it wasn't all serious business! ?? Laughter (and collisions!) echoed through the arena as we navigated obstacles, dodged lasers, and occasionally shot at Gav, our director (all in good fun, of course!). In the end, amidst sweaty brows and pounding hearts, we emerged not only victorious in the game but also closer as a team. It's amazing what a little friendly competition and a lot of laser fire can do! ?? At Carrington West, we understand that a strong team isn't just about what happens in the office; it's about forging friendships that can withstand even the fiercest battles – whether in the boardroom or on the laser tag field. Because when you're willing to take a laser beam for your teammate, you know you've found more than just a colleague – you've found a comrade! ???? Triad's nationwide sales team united in St. Louis for three days of learning, laughter, and team bonding. We reflected on incredible achievements in 2023 and planned for 2024, all while having a whole lot of fun! We started off with a delicious dinner at Edera, where the dinner table turned into a comedy club - fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared joy. The next day we gained insights from thought-provoking presentations by department heads across design, customer service, engineering, finance, marketing, and installation. Engaging with experts from different departments provided us with a multitude of invaluable insights, enhancing our collective knowledge. Amen (our GM of facilities and production) guided us through the factory, showcasing our ongoing projects, machines, and investments. A significant investment for us was the construction of our new storage building. Wrapping up the experience, we had a blast at Top Golf, connecting with more members of our fantastic team and revealing some impressive skills among our team members. Triad is more than a team; it's a big, supportive family. We consistently have an incredible time whenever we come together, and we hope you have the opportunity to experience working with the Triad family. I hope you all had a lucky St. Patrick’s Day this past weekend wearing your green! ?? A lesson in luck from Mort….the pot belly pig. I got this grand idea that Mort was going to help me with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration picture, but EJ (husband, realist, joy-sucker??and photographer) did not think Mort would cooperate. ?And dang it, I hate when he is correct! I put the St. Patty bling on him and he instantly activated “rodeo pig”. You might ask, “what is a rodeo pig?”. Well, it is when the pig runs around as fast as they can while snorting and bucking—it is a sight for sure! So, you might be wondering how I ended up getting this adorable picture? EJ, trying not to bask in the fact that he was right, suggested a treat. In keeping with the St. Patrick’s day theme, he even suggested a?green?treat of a pear. I noticed that Mort has the same reaction as we do in the workplace when the right incentive is in place. Want a motivated team—find what motivates them. As soon as I had that treat, Mort did an immediate sit, and opened wide for the treat. ? When we want more from our teams, or even a different output we need to think about if the right incentive is in place. If we are wanting creativity or ideas on a better process, why not have a contest? Everyone comes to the table with their new idea and whoever wins gets the “treat” plus bragging rights!
