We’re thrilled to announce that Current Lighting, represented by Ryan Jeffers, has leased 30,000 SF at East Point I in Mayfield Heights, bringing around 70 employees to the area. ? Our own Jim Krivanek represented the landlord, Realife Management Group, on this deal. With a five-year lease and $750,000 in building improvements, it’s a big step forward for both Current Lighting and Mayfield Heights.

Did you know Alliance and South Dallas have seen more industrial space added since 2020 than most other metropolitan areas have in the last decade? This record-shattering construction cycle in DFW’s outfield might be coming to a close, as recent figures suggest developers are beginning to look inwards once again as price differences erode. Outfield activity peaked in early 2023, consisting of nearly 83% of all ongoing industrial construction at the time. Since then, the spread has been shrinking as developers move forward with plans to bring new space to key infield locations like D/FW Airport or the Eastern Lonestar Turnpike. Newly christened projects, like the Shady Grove Logistics Crossing in Grand Prairie, show an appetite for new infield industrial space returning to the market. ??? When you work in an industry for decades, it's easy to imagine how you would run things if you were in charge, how you would treat your employees and what values you would prioritize. It was awesome to chat with Chris Heesterman and Andrew Fettback and hear about how they got the opportunity to do exactly that. Both spent 20 years in the electrical contracting space and have used that experience to shape their own company, Fettback & Heesterman. Here are some of their key strategies: ?? Horizontal structure: They spoke about including their team in decision making and listening to feedback. ?? Field first: The pair always wnats to stay connected with workers on the tools and ensuring they have everything they need to succeed. ?? Intelligent growth: Fettback & Heesterman have no problem saying "no" to jobs they can't crush or that won't turn a profit. They are interested in healthy growth, not just growth for growth's sake. Now the projects are stacking up and their team was recently honoured with a Gold Award from the VRCA - Vancouver Regional Construction Association. But the duo is keeping their heads down and sticking to their values. “People ask us about our growth plan,” said Fettback. “We don’t have a growth plan. We could do the same business as our first year and be happy. We want to be the best and only take on work we can deliver on.
