I love the idea of repurposing the concept of social contract for an "urban contract". The idea that folks who live in dense neighbourhoods do so in exchange for certain advantages is, I think, very accurate. I would say it also has its own forms in suburban and rural communities. Wherever people live, they make trade offs. It's interesting to start thinking of those trade-offs in terms of a form of social contract.
