Why brands shouldn't just hire an agency you've worked with before... We know… We know… This may be an unpopular opinion, but hear us out. Both brands and agencies should be focused on making sure the relationship is the right fit for your current organization. Before entering into any long term committed relationship (especially one that involves a great deal of time, money and energy), both brands and agencies should make sure that this is the right fit for all parties. Here's why: -Your business needs at your new company are likely different than the business needs of your previous company. -Your agency team may likely not be the same team you worked with previously. -Your current budget, scope, needs, etc. are likely different than they were previously. The cost of getting this relationship wrong is too significant for both brands and agencies. Doing a thorough vetting process allows for the insights needed across teams to make this big decision. Even if prior relationships exist, making sure that this scope (at this current moment) is the right fit is worth it. Thought on #ThoughtfulThursday?? I’d give you a little insight into how my advertising ideas happen???? Just to note… Whether I work for a company or not. I was at this great event organised by HIGHER Community with Talentful had this wonderful conversation with Sarah Dawes about her friend and recruiting in the NHS. I explained how I was really lucky to have worked at an NHS organisation that let me be really creative with my advertising. I mentioned an issue I find with the recruitment advertising in the NHS. I’m on the train ?? heading home and BAM ?? that conversation coalesces into an advertising ??. Before I reached home ?? I’ve designed a whole advertising campaign that will work in Print and on Socials. ?? I start my advertising ideas with that device ??in your hand. Now to some “Marisha ??? Speak” on how I think about my advert ideas: 1?? I think “long format” meaning lots of words and images that I know can then be chopped up for “short format” i.e. perfect for socials. 2?? Long Format perfect for careers website 3?? I also think about how I can make it memorable or as I like to call it the “inception” part. The bit that makes you go that’s so and so and gives you warm feelings. Oh!
