Many forms of therapy for children and adolescents are effective because they are customized for one particular disorder. But the powerhouse therapy called DBT--dialectical behavior therapy (a therapy we use at CPC) is different. It treats a problem that underlies many different diagnoses: overwhelming emotions. Congratulations to ?? Holiday Express ?? on a succesful event this past weekend! As one of the first recipients of Holiday Express' charitable work many decades ago, CPC was grateful to be in attendance for this special occasion. CPC's Lynn Lucarelli, VP & Chief Development Officer joined with other grateful nonprofits at the event including Russell Gartz, MBA, VP External Relations, Collier Youth Services, and Lori-Anne McLane, CEO, United Way of Monmouth County. Thank you Holiday Express for always bringing connection and a sense of belonging to our clients and students. ??

CPC was grateful to join with the Long Branch recovery community to reflect on efforts to end overdose and the many Monmouth County lives lost to overdose during the city's recent Overdose Awareness Day event. City Hall was illuminated in purple as a solemn remembrance and the day also included a commemoration of recent graduates of the Recovery Diversion Program.
