We are delighted to announce the promotion of Chris Terhune to Division President of the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) Division. Chris previously served as our Vice President of Operations in DFW and is well-prepared to embark on this new chapter with Coventry Homes as Division President. Chris started his career with Coventry Homes in 1999 as a Construction Manager in DFW. Since then, he has ascended through various pivotal roles including Lead Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Vice President of Operations. Throughout his tenure, Chris has garnered immense respect from colleagues, tradespeople, vendors, and developers alike. This is yet another unnecessary ugly logistics development, built on 'greenfield' land! Why do we need yet more dreadful grey coloured, aesthetically unappealing, prefabricated, composite panel, sheds? And, if we do, why cannot they be built on existing 'brownfield' land within existing urban areas? (Luton has plenty of sites requiring redevelopment.) Please can all you property developers together with your servile designers and contractors try harder to build something nicer than this - and always built on brownfield sites within existing urban areas. We’re delighted to have secured outline planning consent for the next phase of Butterfield Business Park - adding a further 454,000 sq ft of space! We’ve already delivered more than 325,000 sq ft across the 83-acre site, with occupiers including Eden Farm and Shoal Group alongside a range of SMEs based within the popular Quad development. Our colleague Vivienne Clements, Executive Director at HBD, said: “HBD is known for its ability to take a long-term view on strategic development projects – Butterfield Business Park demonstrates the impact that approach can have when done well. Since work began eight years ago, the site has been completely transformed, providing space for businesses to expand, and creating hundreds of jobs. “It’s fantastic to have now secured outline planning consent for the next phase of development at Butterfield, delivering almost half a million sq. ft. of sustainable employment space and supporting Luton in continuing to drive economic growth.” Butterfield Business Park has been an important driver of inward investment for Luton, retaining major employers and attracting new businesses to the area.
