Introducing: a new method! We shared with you the 1260 trees our Green Team has planted this early spring. Out of hundreds, only 332 trees will rise to touch the sky as majestic adult trees! ???This is just over 25%... Survival of the fittest? Not really! These saplings thrive with tender, loving care. ???? Our Green Team headed to Brittany's idyllic countryside, trimming grass (tough love) to rescue young trees. Ensuring they soak up plenty of sunshine and water. ???? Chasing our 100-acre dream requires a rethink—our current method just isn't cutting it anymore. Time for change! Growing a young forest is tough & pricey. But guess what? We're shaking up the tree-planting game! Next round, we're wielding a 30cm earth-driller, planting stronger, 8-year saplings. Survival rate? The solutions are found in the ground. 7 years ago I went through the transformative #theoryU journey brought into the world by Otto Scharmer. 5 years ago, I joined the corporate world to start applying the teaching of regenerative leadership and emergent co-creation. 3 years ago I traded this life for learning on the ground what co-creating regenerative projects that answer to the needs of rural communities looks and feels like. I started learning what embodied regenerative leadership, stewardship, kith & kinship, and interdependence entailed, while exploring how to be smarter and more effective with all the resources that we're provided with. Within this 7 years timeframe, the concept of #Earth-based Economics emerged for me, which is living and exchanging based on a multiple value/ capital framework... ?? This was a gamechanger. It showed me the richness of the world, and how I, by being smart in which type of exchange I use, I can live abundantly without earning the amount I thought I needed. Stepping into February, I’m taking a moment to appreciate the growth, lessons, and opportunities that came my way. This month, my focus is on: _Being more consistent in sharing insights on regenerative agriculture and sustainability. _Engaging more—amplifying voices in the sector and driving meaningful conversations. _Taking bold steps towards building my brand I plan to achieve these by staying disciplined, networking intentionally, and continuously learning. Personal Responsibility and the its power for Leadership, Change, and Transformation. One critical leadership fundamental and essential of leadership is taking “Personal Responsibility. >> I like to call it “Radical Personal Responsibility.” I recently came across a real-life story about a couple in Brazil that illustrates this. This couple planted 2 million trees in Brazil in 18 years, returning 172 bird species, 33 mammals, 15 amphibians, 15 reptiles, and 293 plant species. The whole world should know them. This is Lélia Wanick and Sebasti?o Salgado. The couple decided to start the Terra Institute, a small organization that planted 2 million plants and revived the forest. "There is only one creature that can convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, and that is a tree." We need to replant the forests. " Using only local plants, the couple rebuilt the entire ecosystem from scratch, and the area flourished significantly, allowing the fauna to return; thanks to their work, Lélia and Sebasti?o saved dozens of endangered species. "The earth was sad as I was; everything was destroyed. Then my wife got a fantastic idea to replant this forest: all the insects, fish, and birds returned, and thanks to the new growth of the trees, I was born again." The moral of the story is : >> Taking personal responsibility is the path to solving some of our persistent world problems, such as those in economics, business, the environment, social justice, etc. >> Systems and Organizations don’t change and transform…people do, and they are the key drivers of change and transformation. >> Large-scale change and transformation happen when everyone in the system takes personal responsibility for changing and transforming. As winter approaches, nature reminds us of the importance of completing an annual cycle. Just as trees drop their last leaves and animals prepare for rest, it’s time for us to pause and ensure that the fruits of our efforts this year are fully harvested. In business, this practice might be called a ?????????-?????? ???????????? or an ????????????? ???????????????????? — a moment to look back on the goals we set at the start of the year. . But what if we made this more than just checking boxes? What if we truly paused ???? ???????? ?????? ????????????? of our work? To recognize not only what we’ve achieved but also ?????? ???????? ???? ?????? ?????????????? to our teams, communities, and the world? As you reflect, I invite you to ask yourself: ??? What were the fruits of my labor this year? ??? How would it ???????? to know all that was made possible through my good deeds? ?? In the natural world, nothing goes to waste. Even the fallen fruit nourishes the soil for the next season. Let’s honor the season of rest and renewal, knowing that the wisdom we harvest today will become the seeds of tomorrow’s progress. . ??
