This week, more than 50 members of our community of Michigan philanthropy and CMF staff are in Washington, D.C. to engage in Foundations on the Hill (FOTH), hosted by United Philanthropy Forum. In a series of meetings with our Michigan policymakers, we will discuss the opportunities for philanthropy and government to work in partnership, share the work that philanthropy is leading in and with communities and advocate on behalf of issues impacting the sector and the communities we serve. Thank you to Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet for meeting with CMF members this morning! #FOTH2025 #CMFonthehill
So proud of Michigan Philanthropy - always leading the way for the critical discussions with our delegation. Happy to have been there in spirit once again!!
Seems like a fun time will be had by all. Hopefully, someone mentions that little funding freeze and the rippling impacts and crippling anxiety it's creating across countless Michigan organizations and the millions of Michiganders they serve...
Good for you! The next few years will be critical to nonprofits through your work. I hope foundations will consider increasing their giving in the next few years. Many NPO will see a severe decrease in federal funding.
CMF always comes through!!
The Forum is always happy to see the Michigan Delegation at Foundations on the Hill! Thanks for joining #FOTH25.
