Thank you Emily Parkhurst for the opportunity to speak on the Formidable podcast. I truly enjoyed it!? Hopefully my point came across that we should not forget about the power of human capabilities. When it comes to complex problem-solving, utilizing AI is not always cost effective nor practical: AI uses a great deal of energy, but it also takes enormous effort on the part of humans to train and teach it. Plus, we don’t always trust the output without additional validation.? Applying AI in a thoughtful manner also means staying mindful about our expectations of what AI can and should do.? Let’s not forget that human capabilities are also worth investing in and are often still the most cost-effective – and sometimes more effective – way to solve complex problems.??
