Today, on World Children’s Day, we take a moment to reflect on the inherent potential of every child, especially those who have been impacted by the justice system because we believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment. About a month ago, we launched our Juvenile Education Program, and we’re proud to share that it has already made a significant impact. Our classrooms are filled with young minds eager to learn and rebuild their lives. These juveniles, often forgotten by society, are now given the chance to chart a new path—one that is grounded in education, rehabilitation, and hope for the future. In this video, you’ll see our young learners engaging with their lessons, demonstrating the power of education as a tool for transformation. From academic lessons to life skills, each moment in the classroom is a step toward healing and a brighter future for these children. It’s proof that when given the right resources and opportunities, children can rise above their challenges and redefine their stories. World Children’s Day is a reminder that every child has the right to a future free from harm, where education is not just a privilege but a right. We are committed to giving these children the skills and support they need to succeed—both in the classroom and in life. The journey is long, but today, we celebrate the progress we’ve made and the resilience of these young individuals who are taking the first steps toward a new beginning. Happy International Children's day! #WorldChildrensDay #JuvenileEducation #EmpowerThroughEducation #Rehabilitation #JusticeForChildren #BrightFuture #SecondChances #EndYouthIncarceration #YouthEmpowerment #RebuildingLives

While this won’t come as a surprise to most folks, data speaks volumes. This study demonstrates the immense power of learning outside the classroom - people who participated in afterschool activities were healthier, more civically engaged, and had better economic mobility by the time they reach 26.

Imagine following hundreds of young people from birth through their school years, adolescence, and into adulthood. What might you learn? Dr. Deborah Vandell and her colleagues did just that using data from the groundbreaking longitudinal Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development (SECCYD).? They found enduring and meaningful impacts of early learning and afterschool programs that compounded over time. In short, by age 26, people who participated in afterschool activities earned more money and degrees and were healthier and more civically engaged. Last week, I had the privilege of joining a panel discussion hosted by Rebecca Goldberg and Grantmakers for Education's Out-of-School Time Impact Group. Gratitude to Dr. Vandell, Suzette Harvey and Ursula Helminski for their wisdom and insights! Many of these issues plague all educational levels..... Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs are vital to building strong foundations for the next generation, but without proper funding, support, and recognition, they risk disappearing altogether, leaving countless children without the critical developmental opportunities they need to thrive. The collapse of these programs is not just a loss for today’s youth—it’s a setback for society’s future, hindering long-term educational and economic growth.#ECE #education #earlyeducation #awareness
