Contra Costa Electric, Inc.的动态

We are excited at year’s end to highlight the Contra Costa County Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) program. Our staff teaches a variety of instructional classes there, and sixteen of the?instructors are current or former employees, including four who joined the ranks in 2024. JATC instructors prepare and administer curriculum for all five years of the Apprenticeship Program, covering everything from conduit bending and fabrication, to motor control, instrumentation, OSHA standards, and more. Travis Clay and Melissa Vaughn, JATC instructors and full-time Contra Costa Electric employees, say the training center experience as both a student and instructor has been irreplaceable. “You become your own ambassador,” Clay said,?“to make your career what you want it to be.” "This is not education for some far away, possible future career," added Vaughn. “They need this knowledge and these skills now, for the career they are in the process of building." To become a JATC instructor, you must complete an approved electrical apprenticeship and be an IBEW Local 302 member with Inside Journeyman Wireman status. ?To learn more about the apprenticeship or how to become a JATC instructor, contact IBEW Training Director Ray Green at?rayg@ibewlu302.com. #EMCOR #Apprenticeship #Journeymen #Training #CareersInConstruction?

Proud to see our team investing in the next generation of electricians. The value that experienced instructors like Travis and Melissa bring to the classroom can’t be overstated — they’re shaping careers, not just teaching skills. Honored to work alongside people who lead by example.
